Movie Day

FFF has jointly organized with the Education & Manpower Bureau, a “Parenting Workshop: Appreciation of good movies as an effective means of parenting and communication with children” on 9 Nov 2003. The objective of this Parenting Workshop was to promote family values through a good movie. The event provided a fun & learning time for families in how to make good use of time and to provide parental guidance.

The event was taken place at the Science Museum. The chosen movie was “Stolen Summer”, which was sponsored by the Golden Harvest. The movie is about the friendship of two boys, and also the relationship between the boys and their fathers.

After the movie, there was a talk on parenting given by Peter Ho, the Executive Director of The Hong Kong Catholic Marriage Advisory Council, followed by a group discussion session. There were approximately 150 people attended the workshop. The event was very well received.
